OTM® is an independent, full–service creative office founded by Tal Midyan, rooted in graphic design and inspired by new technologies. We ideate and craft distinct worlds, experiences, and identities through a plurality of visual languages and disciplines. OTM® always looks at ideas first, and form second, as we continue to blur the line between audiences and participants, consumers and producers—whether in service of brands, artists, or institutions.

Philosophy

OTM® believes that to design is to let “form follow function.” We begin with an idea, always, and follow it through with a 360 mindset; taking it from start to finish. In the end, the idea should be inseparable from the outcome; from its inspired research to the applied technology. It is all part of a whole creation.

OTM® believes that ideas can be found and expressed anywhere; whether that be a brand identity, digital experience, campaign or music video. In a world where content is disposable, we are committed to meaningful, novel and truly never done before work, especially for brands and artists willing to step into the unknown.

OTM® believes in keeping an agile team. Breaking with traditional models and overhead obligations, we prefer the ability to prioritize and bring in the right people per project. That’s why we are physically based in NYC, but with a worldwide presence, awareness and network.

Background

OTM® was founded in 2023 by designer and creative director, Tal Midyan. After graduating from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 2013—with an honors degree in Graphic & Interaction Design—Midyan spent more than a decade honing his craft while working with and at some of the most reputable global design agencies and brands: including a close collaboration with Nike’s digital innovation team, a residency at Google’s Creative Lab, a year working with Pharrell Williams, and a five year run as a creative director at Spotify.

In 2018 the One Club for Creativity honored him with the Young Gun Award for creatives under 30. Since then his work has been featured in the Tribeca Film Festival and SXSW, he received top industry honors from Cannes Lions, D&AD and Fast Co Design Awards and he has been invited to lecture at It’s Nice That, SVA, and Parsons School of Design MFA program.
